Confess, my fellow shorties

It's confession time,
I am short
therefore I can never wear long dresses!!
but I admire these three petite celebrities for some advise on formal wear

1. Rachel Bilson- Simplistic in colour and jewels but details on the waist. the illusion of the high waist magically creates long legs. Also the deep neckline drives the eyes away from the height!
2. Nicole Richie- Again, simplistic. But the neckline is detailed and sexy for the black one. The statement earings and the power shoulders avoid noticing Nicole's 156cm figure! The silver gown is also very slimming and elongates her body by the simpleness of the pattern and also unique neck/ shoulder line.
3. Ashley Olsen- Sorry, I just love her taste in vintage gown. The Dior, was from the Costume gala last year. The straight neck and the fallen balloon shoulders are to die for..... and the slit with peeking louboutins! longer legs right there! Also, at first I sisn't know what I thought of the red gown but the middle slit was interesting along with the detailing on the shoulders. It manages to drift the eyes away from the pettiness of her body, and appears more flamboyant and sexy.

rain rain come again come again another day....

Sydney is in whirling in rain

It's wet and gross but what makes a rainy day a good one?

Here is a list of what will make your day sunny:)

1. Scrap booking

Organize your bits and pieces of pretty wrapping paper left over grom x'mas with your old magazines to create a mood book!

I usually cut up my favourite looks from magazines and put them in a folder
then stick them with pretty tape or with funky origami paper.
THe theme of this page is Autumn Romance.... getting ready to be in to pale pinks with beige! yummy

2. Organize your draws

Here's my stationary draw and look how perfect it is now!
I should of taken a before picture though....

the cute blue house has my X'mas stamps all stored in it!
from Japan of course!

And this is my alluring box of tapes!
I have been collecting funky tapes for a year now. The alphabet ones and the blue dots are see through
and the lace is actually lace! its fabric tape!

My way of hiding old magazines...
these storage folders are available for around $3 for five at Ikea.
Fun fact- The ikea catalogue is the second most read 'book' in the world after the BIBLE
oh em geeee
also the lime green necklace I got from Collette was on sale for $5 but I haven't worn it any wear...
the Vogue is from December 1995. My birthday!

3. Embroidery/ Craft

Become a kid again and embroidery away with gran or mama!
different subject, but I recently got a mac and I have no-idea how to turn these pictures around

4.  Practise make up!

I seriously recommend getting good brushes
I got a stack from Body shop and it was the best cosmetic buy ever
My newest find was the Porefessional from Benefit
smooth pores, my favourite

Peechy blossom blush has small glitters  which makes your gloomy rainy face bright and cheery!

5. Read! People! Read!

these are my current reads! Grace is my definition of a goddess! Sorry Anna Wintour, your more like the Thomas Edison of fashion  ( Genius is what I mean) but Grace is the brains behind vogue
ah! love her

Emma is a classic Jane Austen Novel, but this penguin classic is different.
The thread edition is so pretty behind the cover!

illustrations of Andre, Anna and Grace

6. Just relax, watch Youtube,  drink coffee and eat chocolate!

... while going through Geography notes...

Hope you have a great rainy day!
